Effective date: July 9, 2020
This policy applies to all information collected or submitted on the Pincone website ("Pincone") website on all devices and platforms.
When you sign up for Pincone, we ask for identifying information such as your name and email address. If you create a team on Pincone, we also ask for the name of that team. This is all done so you can personalize your account, and we can send you invoices, updates, or other essential information. We also give you the option to add a profile picture that is displayed in Pincone, but we do not normally look at or access that picture. For security and audit purposes, in some scenarios we also collect your user agent string and IP address. We will never sell your personal info to third parties, and we won’t use your name or data in marketing statements without your explicit and written permission.
When you pay for Pincone, we ask for your credit card information. We do this so we can charge you for service and send you invoices. Your credit card is passed directly to our payment processor Braintree and doesn’t ever go through our servers. We store a record of the payment transaction, including the last 4 digits of the credit card number, for account history, invoicing, and billing support. You can also specify additional information such as legal business name, billing address and any other information to be printed on your invoice. We do not and will not share any of this information with third parties.
We use Plausible, a lightweight web analytics service that uses no cookies and is fully compliant with GDPR, CCPA and PECR. We use Plausible to monitor and analyze web traffic and can be used to keep track of user behavior. You can read which data is collected by Plausible on their data policy page.
The Pincone website utilizes "cookies", small text files that permits us to recognize your browser in order to customize your experience. Our cookies are strictly related to website functionality and do not contain personal information.
We take appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or unauthorized destruction of your data. The data processing is carried out using computers and/or IT enabled tools, following organizational procedures and modes strictly related to the purposes indicated. In addition to the Owner/Data Controller, in some cases, your data may be accessible to certain types of persons in charge, involved with the operation of the company (administration, sales, marketing, legal, system administration) or external parties (such as third-party technical service providers, mail carriers, hosting providers). The updated list of these parties may be requested from the Owner at any time.
Your data is stored securely on DigitalOcean servers located in Frankfurt, Germany.
We do not share, sell or rent your data with any other entities apart from Pincone.
In some cases, your data may be shared with third-party technical service providers such as our mail and hosting providers, but only for the purpose of reaching out to you and storing your data.
