Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 9, 2020

This policy applies to all information collected or submitted on the Pincone website ("Pincone") website on all devices and platforms.

Owner and Data Controller

Data We Collect

Identity and Access Information

When you sign up for Pincone, we ask for identifying information such as your name and email address. If you create a team on Pincone, we also ask for the name of that team. This is all done so you can personalize your account, and we can send you invoices, updates, or other essential information. We also give you the option to add a profile picture that is displayed in Pincone, but we do not normally look at or access that picture. For security and audit purposes, in some scenarios we also collect your user agent string and IP address. We will never sell your personal info to third parties, and we won’t use your name or data in marketing statements without your explicit and written permission.

Billing Information

When you pay for Pincone, we ask for your credit card information. We do this so we can charge you for service and send you invoices. Your credit card is passed directly to our payment processor Braintree and doesn’t ever go through our servers. We store a record of the payment transaction, including the last 4 digits of the credit card number, for account history, invoicing, and billing support. You can also specify additional information such as legal business name, billing address and any other information to be printed on your invoice. We do not and will not share any of this information with third parties.

Analytics

We use certain analytics tools to see how well our public-facing website works. These services are anonymous and are not tied to you in any shape or form. Additionally, we do not use these services for anything inside of Pincone itself, only for the public website. Anything you save inside of Pincone and how you access it is yours and yours alone.

We use Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc., to monitor and analyze web traffic and can be used to keep track of user behavior. Google Inc. may use the data collected to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network. You can view the Google Inc. privacy policy or opt out.

We use Plausible, a lightweight web analytics service that uses no cookies and is fully compliant with GDPR, CCPA and PECR. We use Plausible to monitor and analyze web traffic and can be used to keep track of user behavior. You can read which data is collected by Plausible on their data policy page.

We use Hotjar to monitor traffic on our site. Hotjar sets certain cookies that record statistical information about your visits to the site. We measure your pattern of usage in order to help us improve our website and its user experience. These cookies do not store any personal information that could be used to identify you. You can read Hotjar's privacy policy on their page.

We use June to measure how our product features are being used. None of the data you add to Pincone is ever shared with June. You can read June's privacy policy on their page.
